Dr Jennifer MacDiarmid and Dr Himanshu Brahmbhatt co-founded EnGeneIC in 2001 and have transformed the company from a scientific concept into a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company advancing a first-in-class oncology platform across multiple cancer indications. As inventors of EnGeneIC’s proprietary EDV™ (EnGeneIC Dream Vector) technology, they have pioneered a novel targeted cyto-immunotherapy approach designed to selectively deliver potent therapeutic payloads to tumours while stimulating anti-cancer immune responses.

Together, they have built one of Australia’s most differentiated oncology platforms, securing significant funding, establishing international operations, and developing strategic partnerships with leading clinical and research institutions across Australia, the United States and Asia. They are named inventors on more than 400 patents and patent applications worldwide and have published extensively in leading scientific journals.

Their leadership combines scientific innovation, strategic vision and disciplined execution, driving EnGeneIC’s global development efforts in advanced solid tumours, glioblastoma and other high unmet-need cancers. In 2026, they were jointly recognised with the Breakthrough in Glioblastoma Biotech Award by the Lenox Hill Neurosurgery Brain Tumor Center in New York.

Bill Harris is Chief Financial Officer at EnGeneIC, bringing more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting and corporate governance across the biotechnology and financial services sectors. Prior to joining EnGeneIC, he served as Global Controller at Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals and held senior finance leadership roles at Arbor Realty Trust and Liquidnet. Bill oversees EnGeneIC’s financial strategy and corporate governance as the company advances its clinical-stage oncology portfolio. He is a CPA and holds degrees from Villanova University and Columbia Business School.

Nick Rengel is Senior Vice President, Business Development at EnGeneIC, leading strategic partnerships and corporate growth initiatives as the company advances its clinical-stage oncology programs. He brings a multidisciplinary background spanning law, finance and corporate strategy, with prior leadership and advisory roles at Deloitte and PwC supporting life sciences companies on growth, M&A and business transformation. Nick holds degrees from the United States Military Academy, the University of Oregon School of Law and Northwestern University.

Stephen Parker was appointed Vice President, Business Operations in 2024 following a long-standing association with EnGeneIC and its leadership team. With more than 30 years of experience across biotechnology, medical devices and healthcare, he has held senior commercial leadership roles with US Surgical Corporation and Smith & Nephew, patented and commercialised innovative orthopaedic technologies, and served as Chief Executive Officer of InterK Peptide Therapeutics. Stephen leads operational strategy and corporate growth initiatives as EnGeneIC advances its clinical-stage oncology programs.
