The EnGeneIC Cancer Research Foundation
Advancing personalised cancer medicine. Challenging the status quo.
Founded in 2007, the EnGeneIC Cancer Research Foundation (ECRF) was established following strong public and scientific interest in the groundbreaking work of EnGeneIC co-founders and scientists, Dr MacDiarmid and Dr Brahmbhatt.
Who we are
ECRF is an Australian charitable foundation founded by two globally recognised scientists on a mission to make cancer treatable, manageable, and ultimately curable. Inspired by EnGeneIC’s development of the world’s first targeted nanocell, the EDV™ (EnGeneIC Dream Vector), the Foundation focuses on translating breakthrough science into clinical impact.
What we do
- World-class translational cancer research;
- Funding early-phase clinical trials;
- Scholarships and training for emerging scientists and clinicians; and
- Research into rare and underfunded cancers.
Why it matters
Progress in cancer care demands bold thinking. By investing in pioneering science, emerging talent, and patient-centred innovation, ECRF is helping to shape a future where smarter therapies replace harsher treatments.
Our Vision
Redefining cancer medicine by moving beyond the hunt for “magic bullets” and instead activating the body’s complete biological armamentarium.
Innovate
Develop personalised cancer therapies.
Educate
Provides internships, graduate and post graduate scholarships to young scientists and clinicians.
Translate
Translation of the innovative therapies for patients’ entry into clinical trials.
Help turn our science into treatments
Since 2007 the Foundation has backed the work behind EnGeneIC's personalised cancer therapies. A gift today keeps that work moving, from the lab bench all the way to the patients waiting on a clinical trial.
